About: If you're like me and trying to keep up with a million useful links in your browser's bookmarks, it can get really easy to forget and get confused about each link's purpose. Livebinders provides the absolute best way to easily manage those URL's in a more visually pleasing way, and easily share them.
Like a physical binder, Livebinders is a way to organize websites and notes under several tabs. What Livebinders can do that a physical binder cannot, is that it's made to organize information found on the web such as websites, videos, and images, plus you can customize it by adding your own notes and documents. It's easy to collaborate with others on a joint Livebinder in order to pool resources and presentation materials.
Uses: One use I would love to incorporate in my own teaching is the use of Livebinders as an e-portfolio for students. They could use it to sort all of the digital content they have created, as well as post any other projects or presentations to it for easy access and sharing. As a collaboration project in ELA, student could do a book study focusing on several themes or aspects of a book, and put it all together in a comprehensive binder for publishing, sharing, and evaluation.
Resources: With the implementation of the CCSS framework, new livebinders are popping up with fantastic CCSS resources for all subjects. Do a quick search for "Common Core" + your content area and discover some fantastic materials! Look at the ones below to get you started:

I was able to make my own nifty binders below in absolutely no time. I opened up a bunch of saved links and ctrl-v'd them into beautiful organized awesomeness. I have yet to upload files that contain things like lesson prompts, worksheets, or examples of student work. |
